What is the provisional balance of the sectoral climate targets for 2021?

DP MPs Max Hahn and Claude Lamberty asked the Environment Minister what the provisional balance of the sectoral climate targets for 2021 is.

„Mam Klimagesetz vum 15. Dezember 2020 sinn déi sektoriell Klimaziler geschafe ginn, déi duerch e Règlement Grand-Ducal fir d’Jore 2021-2030 präziséiert goufen. De provisoresche Bilan fir d’Joer 2021 soll Enn Juli 2022 festgehale ginn.

An deem Kader wollte mir der Madamm Ministesch fir Ëmwelt, Klima an nohalteg Entwécklung folgend Froe stellen:

  • Wéi gesäit de provisoresche Bilan fir 2021 aus?
  • Ass et méiglech, scho virleefeg Konklusiounen ze zéien?“

Answer

De provisoresche Bilan vun den Zäregasemissiounen fir d’Joer 2021 gouf, esou wéi vum règlement grand-ducal vum 22. Juni 2022 iwwer déi järlech Emissiounsallokatiounen virgesinn, Enn Juli 2022 publizéiert.

Dëse Bilan weist datt d’Emissiounen am Joer 2021, mat 8 089 050 Tonnen équivalent CO2, ronn 20% ënner dem Niveau vum Referenzjoer 2005 leien. D’Emissiounen sinn 1,1% (90 000 Tonnen équivalent CO2) ënner der Emissiounsallokatioun fir 2021 bliwwen. D’Emissiounsreduktiounszil fir 2021 gouf soumat erreecht.

Wat déi eenzel Secteuren ugeet, gouf d’Emissiounsallokatioun am Secteur « transports », deen 61% vun de Gesamtemissiounen duerstellt, respektéiert. Dat selwecht gëllt fir d’Secteuren « agriculture et sylviculture » an « traitement des déchets et des eaux usées », während d’Emissiounsallokatiounen an de Secteuren « industries de l’énergie et manufacturières, construction » an « bâtiments résidentiels et tertiaires » depasséiert goufen.

Den detailléierten provisoresche Bilan vun den Zäregasemissiounen fir d’Joer 2021 ass ënner folgendem Link publizéiert:

What is the quality of the food in our hospitals?

A healthy and balanced diet has been proven to contribute to a better healing process and reduce the risk of complications. In this context, DP MPs Corinne Cahen and Carole Hartmann asked the health minister, among other things, how good the quality of the food is in our hospitals, whether regional products are prioritised and whether care is taken to ensure that vulnerable patients also eat enough.

More legal certainty before the labour court?

If a staff representative has been suspended due to serious misconduct, an employer can request that the employment relationship be terminated in court, e.g. via a counterclaim. However, DP MPs Corinne Cahen and Carole Hartmann were informed that the President of the Labour Court repeatedly rejects these applications. This leads to problems in the enforcement of labour law and to legal and financial difficulties for the employer. The DP MPs therefore wanted to know from the Minister of Labour how he interprets the relevant paragraph in the Labour Code, whether the rejection of the counterclaim by the President of the Labour Court is in accordance with the law and whether more legal certainty should be provided.
