Not enough construction debris dumps – now what?

The problem of the lack of construction debris dumps in Luxembourg has been known for a long time. The consequences are long journeys for the trucks, an increased burden on the environment, and higher costs for the end customers. Are there plans for the future and how can the situation be controlled? Our MP Max Hahn inquired with the relevant ministry.

„D’Problematik vum Manktem u Bauschuttdeponien zu Lëtzebuerg ass zënter laangem bekannt. Déi aktuell begrenzt. Kapassitéite féieren dozou, dass d’Camionen laang Weeër musse fueren fir de Buedem ofzetippen. Dëst bedeit sengersäits eng onnéideg Belaaschtung fir d’Ëmwelt, Käschten déi fir d’Entreprisen, an domat och fir d’Endclienten, an d’Luucht ginn an och méi laang Délaien bei de Chantieren.

Verstäerkt Äerdaushub probéieren z’evitéieren, ass sécher eng Méiglechkeet d’Problematik e bëssen z’entspanen, allerdéngs féiert kee Wee derlaanscht, zousätzlech Bauschuttdeponien auszeweisen. An deem Kader wollt ech der Madamm Ministesch fir Ëmwelt, Klima an nohalteg Entwécklung folgend Froe stellen:

  • Wéi vill nei Site fir Bauschuttdeponien sinn aktuell an der Planung? Wou wieren déi Siten a bis wéini kéinten se opgoen?

Answer

Fir d’Äntwert op dës Froen vum éirewäerten Députéierten verweisen ech op d’Äntwerten op d’parlamentaresch Froen n°6889 an n°6902 vun der éierewäerten Députéierten Martine Hansen. Zousätzlech sief gesot, dass de Ministère keen Afloss op d’Zäitschinn huet, wat d’Areeche vun den néidegen Dokumenter a Geneemegungsdossieren ugeet.

DP MPs Corinne Cahen and Gérard Schockmel have put questions to the Minister of Health about the announced public institution for blood donations.
The Liberal MPs asked, among other things, whether it would not make more sense to pay all the Red Cross’ fees for the blood donation service instead of setting up a public institution?
And what will happen to the blood donation room planned for the new Red Cross headquarters in Howald if the Red Cross no longer takes over the blood donation service?
