New adaptations for the bus line 555?

After the introduction of the new bus timetables on December 13, certain problems arose, in particular with regard to school transport. It has come to the attention of the deputy of the DP André Bauler that the line 555 was also concerned, hence his question to the competent minister, if it is planned to adapt the schedule of this line as well.

« An der Äntwert op meng parlamentaresch Fro n°3191 vum 23 November 2020 ass den Här Minister op zousätzlech Adaptatiounen vun de Buslinnen 522, 536, 540, 545, 560, 568, 571 a 572 am Norde vum Land agaangen, nodeems d’Ännerung vum Busplang op den 13. Dezember fir Schwieregkeete gesuergt hat, besonnesch wat de Schülertransport betrëfft.

Allerdéngs ass mir zougedroe ginn, dass och d’Schüler, déi vun Huldang op Dikrech an de Lycée classique fueren, a bis viru kuerzem d’Linn 555 konnten huelen, eng Rei Schwieregkeete mat dem neie Busplang hunn. Sou géif z.B. nëmmen ee Bus moies bei den LCD an nomëttes um 15.00 Auer vum LCD op Huldang fueren, soudass déi Schüler, déi schonn um 12.00 Auer fräi hunn, kee Bus fir heem kréien.

Allgemeng hunn ech och vu ville Leit héieren, déi bis elo mat der Linn 555 op Dikrech gefuer sinn, dass sech hir Situatioun mam neie Busplang wesentlech verschlechtert huet, soudass der vill rëm wëllen op den Auto ëmklammen.

An deem Kader wollt ech dem Här Minister fir Mobilitéit an ëffentlech Aarbechte folgend Froe stellen:

– Ass den Här Minister schonn iwwer dës Problematik informéiert ginn ?

– Ass virgesinn fir zousätzlech Busser fir de Schülertransport anzesetzen fir esou eng besser Ubannung ze garantéieren ?

– Huet den Här Minister wëlles de Fuerplang vun der Linn 555 z’adaptéieren fir dës nees méi attraktiv ze maachen ? »

Answer

The Minister for Mobility writes in his reply that it would not be possible for financial and organizational reasons to cover every single case with a dedicated school transport. Therefore, no further adjustment would be provided for the time being.

How long are the waiting times at the “Travel Clinic”?

If you are travelling to tropical regions, you can get advice and be vaccinated against various diseases at the CHL’s “Travel Clinic”. However, the waiting times at this clinic are currently said to be quite long.
DP MPs Dr Gérard Schockmel and Gilles Baum have asked the Minister of Health how many patients have been seen at the “Travel Clinic” over the last ten years, how waiting times have developed over this period and whether it would not make sense to make it possible to book appointments online, as is the case with many other CHL services.

Medical referrals abroad

Since 1 June 2025, doctors have to fill out a new form if they want to send a patient abroad for treatment. The doctor must now indicate whether or not the services can be provided in Luxembourg within an ‘acceptable period’. If the doctor indicates that the services could actually be provided in Luxembourg, the referral request is automatically rejected.
DP MP Dr Gérard Schockmel has asked the Minister of Health whether the mere reduction to the ‘acceptable period’, without taking into account the quality of care, might not lead to unjustified rejections and whether the new form might not force doctors to provide false information in order to guarantee their patients the best possible care.
