how many farm shops are there in Luxembourg?

The pandemic has led many people to re-evaluate the benefits of regional products. In particular the purchase of meat products, vegetables and fruits, eggs and even milk directly on the farm seems to have increased in recent months. DP MPs André Bauler and Gusty Graas have asked the Minister of Agriculture how the number of farm shops has changed in recent years.

„Duerch d‘Pandemie hu vill Leit d’Virdeeler vu regionale Produkter erëm schätze geléiert. Besonnesch d’Kafe vu Fleeschproduiten, Geméis an Uebst, Eeër an och Mëllech direkt um Bauerenhaff schéngt déi lescht Méint zougeholl ze hunn. Sief et um Haffbuttek, mat engem Automat, engem Eeër- oder Mëllechfrigo oder enger Mëllechtankstell, d’Kreativitéit vun eise Baueren ass ganz grouss. Meeschtens fonctionéieren dës Verkafsstellen ouni Personal, esou datt de Client d’Suen an eng Këscht geheit oder souguer per Digicash bezilt.

An deem Kader wollte mir dem Här Minister fir Landwirtschaft, Wäibau a ländlech Entwécklung folgend Froe stellen:

  • Wéi vill Bauerebetriber féieren ewell en Haffbuttek oder änlech Strukturen nom Prinzip vum Self-Service (Frigo, Automat etc)?
  • Wat fir Produkter ginn am heefegsten ugebueden? Verkafen dës Betriber just Produkter vum eegenen Haff oder och nach aner Produkter?
  • Wéi huet sech d’Unzuel u Betriber, déi an der Direktvermaartung aktiv sinn, an de leschte Joren entwéckelt?“

The Liberal MPs asked, among other things, whether it would not make more sense to pay all the Red Cross’ fees for the blood donation service instead of setting up a public institution?
And what will happen to the blood donation room planned for the new Red Cross headquarters in Howald if the Red Cross no longer takes over the blood donation service?
