Christos Floros has been elected as the new president of DP International, the Democratic Party’s International wing.
Floros succeeds Luís Oliveira, who voluntarily steps down to allow for fresh vision and dynamic leadership within the international wing of the party. The new president will take over his duties starting in November.
Floros is set to lead efforts in growing the party’s international membership and promoting inclusive debate reflecting Luxembourg’s diverse population.
Christos Floros, an architect by profession who works in Luxembourg’s technology sector in Marketing and Communications, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his new role. His commitment to political inclusion has focused on expanding the voice of all residents in Luxembourg, including foreign residents and newly naturalized citizens by encouraging political participation. Floros previously ran in the June 2024 European Parliament elections as a candidate for the Democratic Party, further solidifying his involvement in shaping Luxembourg’s political landscape.
In taking on this leadership role, Floros aims to continue the work of DP International in ensuring that all residents, regardless of their background, feel empowered to engage with their local communities and that the party remains representative of Luxembourg’s diverse population.
