On June 29, 2023, the PiiLux Asbl (Plateforme Immigration et Intégration Luxembourg) invited to a roundtable discussion with representatives of the international sections of the Luxemburgish parties with parliamentary representation. DP International was represented by our coordinator Luís Oliveira.
Topics of discussion included the internal party representation of non-Luxemburgers, the political participation of these in the 2023 municipal elections, whether as voters or candidates, and the proposals to further strengthen this participation. Furthermore, the new law on intercultural coexistence was also on the agenda, as well as the European migration policy and its influence.
We were incredibly pleased with this very well attended conference, which shows that the urge for a public discussion on such topics is there and needs to be continued.
