Christos Floros has been elected as the new president of DP International, the Democratic Party’s International wing.
On October 3, a group of DP International members had the great pleasure of visiting the headquarters of RTL Group in Kirchberg. This initiative is part of our events through which, in addition to our political activities, we want to learn more about the daily life of Luxembourg organisations and companies through guided visits.
Not only declare diversity in politics, but also live it! That is why we have translated our election program and our manifesto into a total of 5 languages, so that everyone can understand our priorities and ideas for Europe. 💙🇪🇺
#Europe. Strengthening what protects us.
On Wednesday, March 13, we had the great pleasure of visiting the European Parliament in Strasbourg with a very international group in the presence of our MEP Charles Goerens.
As every year, the DP International was well represented throughout the weekend on 24 and 25 February at the 'Festival des Migrations, Cultures & Citoyenneté'.
We had the great pleasure of visiting the CHL (Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg) in Belair, where we were welcomed by Dr. Martine Goergen, Medical Director and future Director General.
On 10 January, the members of our party met to give the starting signal for 2024 in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Of course, the DP International couldn't be missing!
At the end of a successful year characterised by local and parliamentary elections, DP International gathered for a final meeting to look back on 2023.
On September 14, we had the great honor and pleasure to visit the House of the luxembourgish democracy. An activity offered by DP International every year. This year, however, it was also done with a special view to the parliamentary elections of October 8, with the aim to learn more about the functions and procedures of the Chamber of Deputies.
On June 29, 2023, the PiiLux Asbl invited to a roundtable discussion with representatives of the international sections of the Luxemburgish parties with parliamentary representation.
The DP International was represented by our coordinator Luís Oliveira.
On March 13, DP International had the great pleasure of organising a conference with our party's Secretary General and MP Carole Hartmann. The central topics of this meeting were the municipal elections of June 11 and the participation of our non-Luxembourgish citizens.
We had the great pleasure of holding a well-attended conference with the Minister of Finance, Yuriko Backes, on January 30.
There was a very dynamic and open exchange of questions and positions between the Minister and the members and sympathizers of DP International on some issues that were and still are of great importance in this first year in office of Mrs. Backes.

On October 11, the mayor of Bertrange, Monique Smit-Thijs, took a lot of time to talk to members from DP International about some current issues during a conference. The importance of citizen participation, both Luxembourgish and non-Luxembourgish, was a central theme of these conversations.
