Administrative simplifications in the agricultural sector

In Luxembourg, no subsidies are to be cut, and administrative simplification must be a priority. DP deputies André Bauler and Luc Emering asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Viticulture what administrative simplifications are involved, what resources are being used in this context, whether the current administrative burden on agricultural players has already been quantified by professional profile, and whether detailed statistical material exists.

Question

„D’Bauereprotester an eisen zwee groussen Nopeschlänner weisen op ee grousse Malaise an de landwirtschaftleche Milieuen hin.

Viru kuerzem huet d’Madamm Landwirtschaftsminister an deem Kontext der Press matgedeelt, datt hei zu Lëtzebuerg keng Subside wäerte gestrach ginn an datt der administrativer Vereinfachung eng Prioritéit soll reservéiert ginn.

An deem Zesummenhang wollte mer der Madamm Ministesch fir Landwirtschaft, Ernärung a Wäibau follgend Froe stellen:

1. Ëm wat fir administrativ Vereinfachungen handelt et sech?

2. Op wat fir Instrumenter a Mëttel wëll d’Madamm Minister zréckgräife fir den Acteuren aus dem Secteur administrativ Aufgaben ofzehuelen?

3. Ass den aktuellen administrativen Opwand vun de landwirtschaftlechen Acteure pro Beruffsprofil schonn eemol quantifizéiert ginn? Gëtt et do detailléiert statistescht Material ?“

More legal certainty before the labour court?

If a staff representative has been suspended due to serious misconduct, an employer can request that the employment relationship be terminated in court, e.g. via a counterclaim. However, DP MPs Corinne Cahen and Carole Hartmann were informed that the President of the Labour Court repeatedly rejects these applications. This leads to problems in the enforcement of labour law and to legal and financial difficulties for the employer. The DP MPs therefore wanted to know from the Minister of Labour how he interprets the relevant paragraph in the Labour Code, whether the rejection of the counterclaim by the President of the Labour Court is in accordance with the law and whether more legal certainty should be provided.
